PCS honors National Military Appreciation Month – Invites Community Participation
Louisville, TN, May 7, 2007 — Personal Computer Systems, Inc. (PCS) has announced it is honoring May as National Military Appreciation Month with a special honor to our troops. Based on research available through military sources, PCS has identified two currently deployed units who receive little contact from home. Because of this information, PCS is collecting specific items that will be sent to two units, a Navy unit near the Euphrates River (24 men, 0 women) and an Army unit in Afghanistan (4 men, 1 woman).
PCS will collect items at their 1720 Topside Road, Louisville, TN location until May 18, 2007. After that, all items will be packaged appropriately and sent to the two military units immediately. “We appreciate on a daily basis what our military heroes do to defend our safety and freedom,” commented Ed Waldroop, PCS CEO. “This community has a long, rich history of stepping up and volunteering when needed. There seemed no more appropriate time to honor these troops than this month, and we were all very moved by the thought that there are soldiers who don’t receive word from home. We’re changing that!”
In addition to needed and requested items, PCS also stresses that LETTERS are the most requested thing by these soldiers. All that is necessary is a normal letter in a normal envelope with a normal stamp. PCS will also collect these letters and include them with the shipments.
For more information on this effort, the public is invited to call PCS at 865-273-1960 for more information.
“I really appreciate the many, many times that we have worked in deadline situations and the staff at PCS have gone out of their way to help us very, very quickly. As you know in the world of the IRS there are many deadlines and we are affected by them. I and my firm appreciate the efficiency and the willingness of your team to help us during these crunch times.”
